Kindergarten Silly Shape Monsters!

During the month of October, Kinder and First grade artists made silly shape monsters! This project was inspired by books written by Ed and Rebecca Emberley including "There Was an Old Monster."

We practiced using shapes and lines to design our own goofy monsters. We used paint for the first time this year to add color. When painting we learned how to hold a brush, wash our brush when switching colors, and how to "tickle" our paper (because we're not scrubbing dishes when we paint).

Take a look a some of our awesome kinder artists working on their paintings!

She was being very careful to keep the paint nice and neat!

These students were having a blast!

Painting is fun in Kindergarten.

These girls love to paint.

This table was working very hard.

Those are some silly monster drawings.

We loved painting our monsters! Many of the monsters are now hanging in the main hallway at school! When you visit, be sure to check out their work!
